Consistent and reliable service

This is my third year with Pine Media, and they've been consistently good. I first signed up for Ultrafast, then upgraded to Gigafast last year. This time, I added the Digital Voice service. The speed and reliability have always been top-notch, and the upgrade process was seamless. I keep coming back because I know what to expect – no fuss, just solid internet and predictable billing. Their customer service has always been helpful when I've called.

Solid service, few minor hiccups

I switched to Pine Media for their Full Fibre Broadband and overall, I'm quite satisfied. The speeds are consistently good, and I appreciate the local UK support – it's much easier than dealing with large call centers. Installation was straightforward, though it took a little longer than I expected to get an appointment scheduled. The eero Wi-Fi 6 Router works well, but I did have to reconfigure a couple of smart home devices after the switch. No mid-contract price increases is a big win for me. Good service, just a tiny bit slow on the initial setup communication.

Detailed breakdown of my experience

I recently signed up for their Full Fibre Broadband with a Static IP Address. The ordering process online was clear, and I received an email confirmation within minutes. Installation was scheduled for about two weeks out, which felt a bit long, but the engineer arrived on time and was very professional, completing the setup for the eero Pro 6 and connecting everything within an hour. The advertised symmetrical upload speeds are indeed present, which is crucial for my work. I had one question about port forwarding, and their local support was responsive and helpful via phone. The connection has been stable with no dropouts over the past month. The no mid-contract price increase policy was a major factor in my decision, and it's reassuring. I would recommend them for anyone needing reliable, fast internet with good support.

Good value for new customer

As a first-time buyer, I was really looking for a good deal. The new customer offer was quite appealing, and I got a nice sign-up bonus which made the move worth it. The Ultrafast Broadband speed is exactly what I needed, and not having mid-contract price increases is a huge plus. It feels like I got good value for my money.

Internet's fast, all good

Got the Home Wi-Fi package, and it's been great. Internet's super fast now, no more buffering when we're all online. Installation guy was friendly. All in all, a good experience.

So happy with Gigafast!

I can't believe how fast my internet is now with Gigafast Broadband! Everything just flies. Installation was smooth, and the eero Pro 6 is fantastic. I'm telling everyone about them. Definitely shopping here again!

i'm in manchester, can i even get pine media or are they just a sheffield thing?

D Daniel Taylor 1 month ago
They started in Sheffield but they've expanded. You need to check your postcode on their site to be sure, they use different networks in different areas.

K Kyle Taylor 1 month ago
Not just Sheffield now, they use CityFibre and Openreach networks in other areas. Best to plug in your address on their site to see if you're covered.

Is Pine Media actually full fibre? Or is it like, some hybrid thing they call full fibre but it's not really?

I Ian 2 weeks ago
Nah, it's proper FTTP (Fibre to the Premises). Not like some others that run copper for the last bit.

M Matt Rivera 2 weeks ago
Definitely full fibre. That's kinda their whole thing, no funny business with copper lines.

Anyone know if Pine Media has those annoying mid-contract price hikes? I'm so over that with my current provider.

J Jacob Sanchez 4 weeks ago
That's one of their main selling points, no mid-contract price increases. It's in their terms.

B Brian Phillips 4 weeks ago
Nope, they specifically say they don't do that. It's a big reason why I went with them, actually.

does pine media still give you an eero router for free? or do you have to buy it separately now?

K Kevin Garcia 4 weeks ago
Pretty sure it comes with the service, at least for new customers. Mine did last year.

Yeah, they usually bundle an eero with the full fibre plans. If you want the Pro version or more units for mesh, that might be extra though.

Thinking of switching to Pine Media but worried about installation. how long does it usually take for them to get it all set up after ordering?

S Sean J. 2 weeks ago
Mine was like, a couple weeks. They send out an engineer but it wasn't a big deal.

O Olivia Allen 2 weeks ago
yeah it depends, could be quick if your place is already set up for full fibre. but like, expect up to 2-3 weeks just to be safe. they'll give you a date.
